Dolan Roofing Was Happy to Give Back at the Pastors Appreciation Luncheon
At Dolan Roofing and Construction, our aim is to be more than just another roofing company. As local roofers based right here in San Antonio, the community we serve has also served us in more ways than we can count. We’re always looking to give back, and we had the opportunity to do so by serving as a sponsor for the Pastors Appreciation Luncheon, hosted by AM 630 The Word.
Held at the Granberry Hills Event Facility, this event was a free-to-attend luncheon celebrating the many pastors and chaplains throughout the San Antonio community. We heard a great speech from Pastor Max Lucado, enjoyed some delicious food, and supported giveaways at our table.
Event
The luncheon was held on September 26th at Granberry Hills Event Facility, located at 6390 Granberry, San Antonio, TX 78239 in the northeastern portion of the city. Granberry Hills was the perfect venue for this luncheon, at which numerous pastors from all over the San Antonio area were in attendance.
In total, attendance was listed at around 200 people and we were happy to be able to get acquainted with many of them. There was truly a wide variety of pastors and chaplains, from those with large congregations at established churches to those who deliver Sunday sermons in a school cafeteria.
Keynote Speaker: Pastor Max Lucado
The main guest speaker for this event was Pastor Max Lucado, who serves at Oak Hills Church. He is a gifted speaker and writer, and the sermon he delivered centered around his 2017 book, Anxious for Nothing.
The sermon included lots of actionable and useful advice, with the central takeaway that in the midst of all the anxiety we experience in today’s society, finding ways to focus on gratitude can help to center us and alleviate those anxious feelings.
There were other speakers featured at the event as well, including Chad Gamage of Salem Media, who served as the event’s emcee, and Samaritan’s Purse, a humanitarian aid organization. Their organization spoke, and they also invited a young woman to speak, who gave a moving testimony about the organization’s humanitarian efforts and impact.
Our Participation
Dolan team members Brandy Tilley and Charles Price attended the event as part of the luncheon’s vendor exhibition. This portion of the event featured numerous businesses from around San Antonio who sponsored the event and hosted booths prior to the lunch. We met many other members of the local community and were able to speak with many of the pastor attendees.
The Dolan team had a drawing at our table, giving away two Family Fun Packs two a couple of lucky winners. One included dinner and a movie and the other provided Topgolf reservations, both for a family of four.
Happy to Give Back!
Our team was glad to participate in this event. At Dolan Roofing and Construction, we’ve worked with many churches in both San Antonio and Tucson, and we wanted to find a way to show our appreciation.
For us, this event was a chance to give back to and interact with the many local pastors in our area who serve our community each and every day. We’re very grateful to have been invited, and it was a wonderful experience to attend.
