This Project Was a Collaboration of San Antonio’s Top Roofing and Guttering Experts
When your roof is damaged by storms, it’s rarely the only part of your home that’s affected. Unfortunately, damage to roofing and guttering often go hand in hand, and coordinating a roof replacement with a gutter replacement can be a hassle to manage yourself.
The best San Antonio roofing contractors are well aware of this problem, however, and will be happy to coordinate with the schedules of other contractors to ensure your storm restoration project is completed as efficiently as possible.
In today’s Project Spotlight, we’re sharing a great example of a collaboration with our team at Dolan Roofing & Construction. This home had its roofing and guttering system severely damaged by multiple storms, but we coordinated with the gutter replacement pros at River City Gutters to fully restore this property. Come take a look at the final results!
Project Background: A Strong Roof Finally Meets Its End
Roofs in San Antonio have a lot to put up with. Oftentimes, even well-constructed roofing systems can be done by a major storm, particularly when hail is involved.
In this case, our client’s roof had taken a beating over the years. Several storms had passed through the area, damaging the roofs of neighbors—but their roof had survived in good condition through it all.
Unfortunately, every roof has its limit, and when yet another hail storm pelted the neighborhood, the roof was severely damaged, creating the need for a roof replacement. While this homeowner had never called on our services before, they were referred by their neighbors whose roofs had previously been damaged as well.
Before:
Severe Home Exterior Hail Damage
After:
Fully Restoring the Roofing and Guttering
The roofing and guttering system around the home would require the most coordination, as this work requires access to roughly the same part of the home. As this was a full gutter replacement, our team decided to collaborate with experts on that portion of the project.
River City Gutters was the clear choice for us, as local contractors we were already familiar with in San Antonio. Our team could easily coordinate with theirs, ensuring that the newly installed roofing system would align well with the gutters, forming a complete drainage system for this home to deal with high volumes of rainwater.
For the roof, the homeowner selected Owens Corning Oakridge shingles in Driftwood. These shingles perform very well among three-tab products, and the color complemented the style of the home nicely.
