Since we have strong knowledge of how much hail damage substantiates a roof replacement, for example, we’ll be able to provide our expert recommendation as to whether you should go ahead and submit a claim.
We Cannot Act as Public Insurance Adjusters
While a roof inspection may seem very similar to an adjustment, it’s important to make a very clear distinction: our team does not act as public insurance adjusters, and we cannot negotiate with your insurance company on your behalf.
This is very important to clarify, and we’ve made it a point to include a disclaimer* in nearly all of our posts regarding the roof damage insurance claims process.

Despite this limitation, you won’t be on your own throughout the insurance adjustment process when you work with our team at Dolan Roofing.
For starters, another benefit of completing a roof inspection is that we’ll be able to gather evidence of storm damage that you can use to substantiate your claim. Our team will take photos of signs of damage that you can then use to send to your insurance company.
In fact, we’re even happy to send one of our team members to your property during your walkthrough with the adjuster. While adjusters aren’t out to get you, they also aren’t professional roofers. This means our team will be able to point out damage that they may otherwise miss.
We Can’t Submit a Claim on Your Behalf
Ultimately, though, while we can help substantiate your claim, we can’t actually file it for you. It’s still the responsibility of the homeowner to complete any storm damage insurance claims, for your roof or any other area of your home.
That said, our team is very familiar with the claims process and is here to help however we’re able. If you have questions about how to complete particular parts of the claim, for instance, we can help answer these. But at the end of the day, you will have to file the claim yourself.
